7.26.07 - 7.30.07

Well, the good times were rolling over the weekend. Outdoor block parties galore, though admittedly not as bad as the worst we've seen. Still, though the photos are bad, you get the idea.

What starts as a little daytime chitchat:


Turns into nighttime hooliganism:

About 8 or so locals hanging out in the doorway and on the stoop of 2xx, the pungent odor of marijuana smellable even down the block but almost dizzying as we passed by around 10:30 pm. Also, horns - the kind you get at Toys r Us and attach to a bike - were blared on and off all night. Had it not been for the quiet rattle of the A/C, we would have been up all night.

Bottom line... They've been hiding, but they're still here. And they're still breaking the law.

Relatively low-key weekend, but spotted a few people smoking blunts in front of 2xx. It seems, now, that nocturnal activities are more or less contained to the front of 2xx - which is good, but doesn't mean the law isn't being broken. It is.

Car rolls up in front of our location, idles for almost an hour - as the driver and passenger pass back and forth a "cigarette." Due to darkness, this is the best we could get.

We've been in and out of town, but to be fair, it's been better but it still goes on.
